Postby Bonnie Meadowes » Sat Jul 30, 2005 8:33 pm

up to the creek before sunset
dip in the river before moon let
camp lonley, drink beer
off before the non sweepers,
by one PM...

ho ho ho, WHO would go
ho ho ho, alone we go

across the
McGrew 450
down the connector 112

down to gas O'Brian
92 octIan ~ on we flyin

an old 94 roll chart starts
section 4 "easy" up up and away~~~
yet the tank rraps and diversoins to
tannen lake high alpine
down Thompson ridge to HapPy CamP CA 17N sonmething

no gas here but card lock?

oh there is an nothore way cash
87 octaine, back over the ridge

more bad gas in O'Briain
a couple of beers and a bag o f ice

the ice melted and ran down the seat

it was kind of cool... for a while
when i relialized that i had gone the 9 miles smooth
with twenty bumpy back to camp yet

and a third of the ice had wet my pants already

(yo be continued)

Yo Lee,
Your quatrains crack me up! Shades of Nostradamus?! So what ride was this (without having to sift through the quatrain clues)?

so the third time i bailing twined that bag of ice...
it was getting really dark

some twerps i passed before that
probably just getting there stash

but above a tuned 250
rode the box shift

and at camp reoiled

and at hill climb 1st gear Mc Grew "climate"
thought the burnt timber was done
saw double cooked charcoal
more yet to come

the charcoal looks like rocx

and i met a truck man with a couple dogs
and he new a place i never saw

so i went up Knopki
and saw the Sanger peaks and lake
cool up in the alpines
take it easy

back down to waldo, and gas...
\just a few watermelons in the road
we pass

up to camp sourdough

back to reality

Yo Bin Rydin,
Where the hell was this freakin' ride, dude? :)

Email me the confounded GPS trackmap! And don't EVEN think of telling me you don't run a GPS, because otherwise I don't have a bloody clue where the Hell you went, other than to maybe Happy Camp area and back...

Dazed and confused,
-Tom
PS: Ellen says "Hey, I appreciate your poetry!"
PSS: Tom says "WTF, how did I miss out on your gitfiddle licks at the Dawg?"

you got to the place where a T intersection
whent 5 ways

you try a few of them

and rolling back the od ometer
you hit a substantial rock
but you miss the tree...

i gots dah yellow high lighter thing, a whole lot of different maps
and contrary to what that evil sweeper Dan "tight nuts" says
i usually don't get lost
around here moss grows on the NORTH, SOUTH, West, and East side of everything
who needs GPS?, just look at the moss
really guarantuan moss is North ~ woosey moss is South
oh course when you get 12 miles inland from the coast you have to be able to read the charcoal
but thats another story
