12/5/10 Trailriding at Keenig Creek (TSF)

Postby Tawmass » Mon Dec 13, 2010 5:56 pm

Went for a little puttsy with the guys: Scott, Dug, Dive, Keith and his bud Greg. We decided to head out and meet at Keenig Creek area to unload. Randy and Susan showed also, but they decided to head over to the Jordan Creek side of the area and ride a more leisurely pace.

Keith showed up with a buddy of his, Greg. Add Dug, Dive, Scott and yours truly and we had a fun group. The Keenig Creek area is still unknown by many, so I figured doing the second loop of last June's Devil's Head ISDE Race would be a fun rip. So we started out hitting some new sections that were put in on BPA Trail - fun stuff. Then we started into another loop that circled back onto itself, and at the end was poor Keith writhing on the ground - he'd dislocated his shoulder - ugh.

We escorted him back to the truck and Greg took him to the hospital - bummer Keith. We then regrouped and the rest of us went up BPA Trail, hit all the Tower Trails, finished off with BFR Trail and headed back to the trucks. In the GPS logs below, the red is where we went and the blue is where we intended to go. All in all a great day, barring Keith's injury. Click the pic below of our wingman, Keith, to watch the video with ALL the details!

And what was up with Dug & Dive? :D

You don't stop riding because you grow old, you grow old because you stop riding.
