sheet iron ride

just got back from the two day "Sheet Iron" ride Oakland M/C thing
320 miles~smiles from Stoneyford to Fort Bragg and back
the next day
titz,
Letts Ridge uphill after a week of rain...
flowers everywhere
some snow
sudden oak death alert
a hundred riders in a line line
waiting for gas in Covelo
roasted pig and cow at mid day at lunch
happy munghin cows eatin green grass all over the place
the CHP parked on a blind corner, above Laytonville
big off camber bailouts with views, you had no chance to see
very senik.............ah
no dust to speak of ( check air cleaner for vermin ~ later...)
a bite of mud , a spakkle of adobie
nearly 400 riders came
a good friend i rode with
worst injury was before the ride started
falling out of my bunk ~ drunk
the night before...

oh well

cold creek crossing maximal
habitates for humanity on a corner
white faced downhill

mudlined horn was clodged
KTM's ver the rage

bin Rydin was up staged

by an electric start XR 230...
(actually i saw a 200)

i ain't going back, down that "hill" again
white faced and nukeled
my hand unpon the levers, thin
aluminum, perch...
