Good places to practice in sand near Seattle?

Whip out those license plates and winkies! Talk about whatever you want, as long as it's about dualsporting.

Good places to practice in sand near Seattle?

A few of us are going to do CABDR this Fall which has a fair amount of deep sand. Anyone know any good places to practice deep sand that are doable as a day trip from Seattle? Appreciate any help! Btw, sold my 1200GS and have a KTM 690 now and so glad I will be doing it on a lighter bike!

Unsure where to practice, perhaps in E. Washington in the high desert. A couple tips:

* Ride with your weight on the back tire, i.e. keep leaning back.
* Stay on the gas
* Refrain from using the front brake

Congrats on the 690 - I like mine SO MUCH better than my heavy 1200GSA!

You don't stop riding because you grow old, you grow old because you stop riding.
