Reinstalling Carbs????

Postby LandSharkGT » Tue Oct 24, 2006 9:56 pm

Is there an easy way to reinstall those dual carbs on early model XL/XR600R other than heating up the boots with a blow dryer to soften them up in a cold garage???? My knuckles are so sore and I am so tired from wrestling these things! I have done 4 cylinder carbs with ease and have less problems than with these dual odd angled carbs!
Thanx,
Bill

Bill,
I can only suggest lubing everything up with WD-40 or something - that should help. Good luck.

Yep, I am going to try WD-40 and heat tomorrow so I can finish the Exhaust installation!
