Diamond Lake Dual Sport Event

Postby Gary A » Wed Sep 17, 2008 7:10 pm

Spidyman (Jim Loveall) called and asked that I let everyone here know that Hwy 58 is closed as is Hwy 138 out of Roseburg due to forest fires. He suggests people going to Diamond Lake from Eugene take Hwy 126 over to Hwy 97 in Bend and then down to Hwy 138 to Diamond Lake. Northern folks need to grab Hwy 22 or 26 and then Hwy 97 down to Hwy 138 to Diamond Lake. Hopefully things will change in the next couple of days. Probably wouldn't hurt to call the Forest Service before you leave. Good luck to everyone going. I'm unable to go this year and will sure miss this one. I had a great time last year and I'm sure it will be a great ride again this year.

I was invitied to this event this year by my 1-armed Riding buddy  ......
Alas, couldn't make it due to prior commitments  ....

Oh well, this'll give me another year to get the XT's top-end rebuilt.
Looking 4ward to it though.....haven't been to Diamond Lake since I was a kid.
