I apologize if this has been covered. I just found about a new Safety card requirement for Oregon off road riders...
See: http://www.oregon.gov/OPRD/ATV/Permits.shtml
scrolling down to the Class 3 section shows ATV Safety Education Card required for all 50 and under as of Jan 1, 2012.
You can study and take the class online for free here (our tax $ hard at work): http://www.rideatvoregon.org/
I just signed up. Says it takes a couple hours to take the course/test, so I didn't do it yet, but I did create the login and got the ball rolling. Their server timed out on me while trying to setup the account. If it happens to you, try clicking the refresh button, and then resending. Worked for me...
Regards,
Don

Re: New (?) Oregon requirement
Yep, been covered the last few years. Kinda silly, but it's now a requirement.

You don't stop riding because you grow old, you grow old because you stop riding.
