Apple Jam, you're so lucky to live in Hood River. Stay in touch on the preride if you like. :)

Barbara: working on a couple things, but am open to what you got!

NOTE: due to a few people on larger adventure bikes having problems on one particular hill last year, there will be a completely separate C route this year, which will be extremely easy (gravel, two-track and tarmac), but with more mileage. It should be a great ride for the larger BMWs, V-Stroms and such.

Tom: Just catching up with this!

Daughter helps produce the Waterfront Blues Festival in Portland (The Delta Music Experience Blues Cruises and the Louisiana Pavilion) and I'm sure could link up with blues, swing, rock, folk-blues ? of choice. Happy to talk about it! www.deltamusicexperience.com

Apple Jam and others in Hood River area: Good friend and great story-tellin bluesman Doug MacLeod will be in town March 19th www.doug-macleod.com/ (Not commercially related, just didn't want you to miss a terrific bit of music!)

Tom, Would you like for me to call you?

Per AMA rules, I need to have petrol options every 80 miles or so. Hard to do sometimes as gas stations are scarce out there!

Only two months until The Dawg! This will be the 20th Annual (sheesh, hard to believe!) and we really want to go big. This year it is again part of the AMA National Dualsport Series PLUS part of the AMA National Adventure Series, so take your pick. The entries are rapidly rolling in, so sign up now!

FYI, this just might be the last year we will have it in the Mt. Hood National Forest, due to the environ'mental' extremists and their wilderness encroachments upon the forest. We are very seriously considering another location with the great amenities and scenery that the Mt. Hood area offers. And contrary to rumors, this is NOT the last Black Dog, but again, maybe the last one on Mt. Hood.

Hope to see you there!

So does this mean you are looking for a place in Costa Rica or Mexico? :?:
perhaps you could time it for the Mayan calender "Last Day"...
I guess Idaho or Utah would be the closest "ride friendly" places

Checking in on the band for Black Dog...

Postby Love2Roam » Wed May 18, 2011 10:55 pm

All set , or do you need some help.
Happy to reach into my bog of musical friends and
try for a good match of what's wanted and who I know.

You're probably all set but wanted to ask in case you'd like me
to be doing something. Pleased to do it, just need this lead time
and a bit of an idea of what's wanted.

Really looking forward to the weekend!

Hey Barbara,
The bands I've contacted have all been booked, so I'm open. I plan on a couple movies now for Saturday night, so live music is not mandatory, but could be a nice background aura while everyone visits. Call my cell.
